This video shows you a basic overview of unlocking the bootloader, flashing a custom recovery, and obtaining root access on the Nexus 7 tablet from Google.

It is not meant to be an all-encompassing guide, and yes, I know there are plenty of ways to accomplish this. However, if you root, I believe you should know the basics of doing it so you can fix it when you break it.

I did provide the basic commands, but YMMV depending on your computer’s operating system and setup.
